Using the innovative greenteQ tape OMNIA means that only one size is usually necessary. This not only saves warehousing capacity but also provides the processor with the assurance that the tape can still be used even in the case of irregularities from the preceding work.
As a result of the intelligent size chart, the greenteQ tape OMNIA can be used in joints of 6–20 mm or 15–40 mm when exposed to the elements under BG1 requirements. In the case of concealed installation and BG2 requirements, the tape can be used in joints of 6–25 mm or 15–45 mm. If the requirements are related solely to thermal insulation, the greenteQ tape OMNIA can be used for joints of 6–30 mm or 15–60 mm. Therefore, you, the processor, will find that a maximum of two sizes suffice for installation on building sites.
How the greenteQ tape OMNIA works
Where three products used to be necessary, now just one is sufficient, as the greenteQ tape OMNIA can be used in all common structural connection joints.
The outside edge of the greenteQ tape OMNIA ensures up to 1050 Pa protection against driving rain.
The middle provides thermal insulation and sound insulation up to 64 dB.
The tape acts in accordance with the principle ‘more airtight on the inside than on the outside’.
The greenteQ tape OMNIA guarantees good drying of the joint (confirmed by MPA Hannover). The German Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) and the German Thermal Insulation Ordinance (Wärmeschutzverordnung) stipulate that water accumulating during the dew period must be released back into the environment during the evaporation period, in line with DIN 4108-3. greenteQ tape OMNIA fulfils this requirement.
All in all, this saves a lot of time when sealing windows. In just one step, the tape is adhered to the window frame, butt jointed at the corners and that’s it! Compared to the conventional method of window installation, using greenteQ tape OMNIA reduces the amount of effort involved to less than a quarter of the time usually needed.
Furthermore, warehousing is cut down to just one single size instead of the three that were necessary in the past.
Reliable installation at all times
Installation can take place irrespective of the weather and thus ensures that joint sealing can be carried out efficiently. The labelling on the airtight inside edge of the tape means that mistakes during installation are almost completely eliminated.
Fitters often come across huge differences in the joints when installing windows. In this instance as well, the greenteQ tape OMNIA guarantees a reliable fit as a result of its impressive expanding capability, which reliably compensates for uneven joint runs and component movements and prevents cracks from forming. For this reason, one tape size is sufficient for sealing the most diverse range of joints.
Size 1: 6–20 mm
6–17 mm BG1 and 1050 Pa (Exposure to the elements)
6–20 mm BG1 and 600 Pa (Exposure to the elements)
In the size 6–25 mm is the tape OMNIA BG2 approved with 300 Pa, usable for concealed installation.
In the size 6–30 mm is the tape OMNIA usable as thermal insulation for concealed installation. Therefore additional sealing on the interior and exterior is necessary. For this, we recommend the greenteQ foil tape PLENA.
Size 2: 15–40 mm
15–34 mm BG1 and 1050 Pa (Exposure to the elements)
15–40 mm BG1 and 600 Pa (Exposure to the elements)
In the size 15–45 mm is the tape OMNIA BG2 approved with 300 Pa, usable for concealed installation.
In the size 15–60 mm is the tape OMNIA usable as thermal insulation for concealed installation. Therefore additional sealing on the interior and exterior is necessary. For this, we recommend the greenteQ foil tape PLENA.
With the greenteQ tape OMNIA, we have introduced a pioneering joint sealing tape to the market that, with its excellent properties, fulfils the requirements of the EnEV Ordinance.
